McPherson Youth Pipes & Drums Welcome to the McPherson Youth Pipes and Drums P.O. Box 761,  McPherson, Kansas 67460 This site is currently under construction. Please make us a favorite and return often to see the changes and additions.  McPherson Youth Pipes and Drums was organized in 1997 as a youth oriented organization dedicated to instruction in playing the Great Highland Bagpipes and Scottish Drums as well as education in Scottish Pipeband performance and competition. MYPD is located in the Community Building, 122 East Marlin, McPherson, KS.

The band holds rehearsals on a weekly schedule and performs or competes on numerous occasions during the year. Performances are by invitation and Competitions are scheduled with "Highland Games" in Kansas and the four surrounding states. Bagpipes are a unique instrument and can be played for one's own personal enjoyment, or with a group, or on a professional level, with proper instruction and dedication.
